A brazilian bureau of telecommunications (Anatel) has busted some iPhones being selled at a São Paulo street called Santa Ifigênia. The price here is about US$860 but that's not the problem. iPhones are not licensed in Brazil by that bureau and as you may know, all users here have to unlock it using the Jailbreak.
All doing fine, brazilian iPhone users are very happy with them toys but Anatel is now planning to block the device to work in Brazil thru Imei code, some kind of mobile phone's ID, the same who prevents stolen cell phones to work. And now there's a question to be answered: will the brazilian iPhone fail?
Place your bets!
